Install Apex teleoperation

The September 4 VR resource guide separates installation into robot-side, desktop, and headset packages. The Pro manual notes that purchased teleoperation kits may arrive with software preinstalled. Check installed versions before reinstalling.

Installation order​

  1. Open each repository's Releases page and select packages matching your hardware and software release.
  2. Install the robot-side Debian packages on the supported compute unit, following that release's instructions.
  3. Install the kernelmind-apex desktop application on the operator computer.
  4. Install the matching VR APK on the headset using SideQuest, as described in the resource guide.
  5. Follow the Apex documentation center for configuration and connection.

The resource guide mentions Orin and Thor. Package architecture alone is not proof that a particular release supports both; verify its release notes. The source material also distinguishes earlier and newer Pro hardware.
